Some Teasers :)

Yes, I sit here at my computer, with my grumpy almost 1 year old begging my attention, knowing that I am 2 weddings, 2 bridals, and 1 engagement behind on blogging. So I decided to quickly edit at least one of the photos that sort of stuck out to me, and to post it, so at least I have one to show all of you patient clients who are waiting :) The good news is that I am getting closer to being caught up with editing, but just not blogging. August was a busy one (luckily it was a fun ride for me), so now I'm trying to get started on blogging September! Yeah me! So anyways, long story short, here are your sneak peeks. Hayli & Cade, you are next for a full post! So stick around :)

Beautiful Lisa!

This Engagement session was a blast! I just did this one last night! We had tons of fun, and got lots of pictures! Gotta love that flare! It reminds me of a "Pride & Prejudice" moment :)

So yes, I'll leave it at that today. My son has finally discovered the kitchen and all the fun cupboards and drawers. Needless to say, my kitchen is a wreck now. But at least he's having fun. Tomorrow is his birthday . . . got to start planning for that!

Family M. - The real post this time!

Yep, this post is long overdue. Emily actually already has the pictures! But I thought I'd share these picts with everyone else too because I think the pictures turned out great! Their such a beautiful family, and I had so much fun hanging out with them! Also, this is the "Vintage" look for any families out there who are booked with me, and are still trying to decide what kind of look they want. I am partial to this look, not sure why, but I am! Any ways, enjoy the pictures!

Oh sweet Kiera! She was the very first newborn that I've photographed, and I can't believe how far both she and I have come since that day . . . She is still so adorable and has the most gentle personality!

Lisa's Teaser - Best Jumping/Twirling Award!

I just spent an awesome evening yesterday with my future sister-in-law, Lisa! We seriously were laughing and having so much fun! And I was very surprised to find out her special talent . . . she is the BEST TWIRLER! And as you can tell by the first picture, she can definitely get some air with her jumps! I have never seen a bride who came close to being able to do some jumps like this all on their own in a wedding dress! Lisa brought her friend, Linda, and we all had a blast just laughing and taking bunches of pictures! I promise there are some beautiful normal ones too, I was just so impressed with her twirling/jumping ability in a wedding dress, I thought I'd share! She should definitely be a dancer!

Aubrey & Ryan's Groomal Session!

Wow, these pictures are long overdue to be shared! I had so much fun with these two! They decided to do a "Groomal" session which is a Bridal sesssion with the Groom! See the bottom of this post for pros of doing a groomal session!

I really love the first picture! Ryan gave Aubrey the sweetest looks. I can tell that these two are really in love. They have been together for 4 years! Aubrey is so excited to finally be marrying her best friend. I really had a wonderful time capturing the special bond between them. I really couldn't pick which pictures to post. My website is getting really close to being finished (I know I keep saying that . . .), and I try to hold back at least a couple of my favs as a surprise for the site, so it's hard for me to post stuff when I'm not for sure what I'll use for my site! Anyways, I am posting a bunch of my favs from their session! These two are getting married this Saturday, and I'm really excited to be apart of all the fun!

Yep, I really do take pictures of just the Bride in "Groomal" sessions!

I think I took this picture as we all were being attacked by a bee! My wonderful assistant was probably freaking out at this time as the bee was swarming around us, but it made for a fun candid shot!

For Groomal Sessions, let me define this: a Bridal Session with your Groom! I encourage this session for every couple willing to do it! I know it sort of breaks the tradition of seeing the dress . . . but there are lots of benefits to these sessions. Let’s name a few:
1. You have a lot more variety of artistic photographs with the two of you together which you may not have time to do on the wedding day because of time constraints.
2. You can also go to locations which you would not be able to go to on your wedding day.
3. On your wedding day, we’ll still get some beautiful photographs of the two of you, but it will be more relaxed because we’re not stressing as much about getting the perfect picture or having enough time.
4. You can showcase these pictures of the two of you together at your reception or in your wedding video so everyone can see these beautiful photos.
***In these sessions, I most definitely do pictures of just you in your stunning dress by yourself! We just get a nice variety of both! Let me know if you are interested in one of these sessions.

3 Spots Left in October!

Hi everyone!

I am now almost caught up on my blog. Well ok, thinking about it, I'm really not, but a lot closer to getting caught up than I was about a week ago. I still have an awesome wedding, 2 bridals, and 1 family to share with you all. But I sure can get a lot completed with my husband out of town, even though I'd prefer him to be here with me.

The leaves are changing, the weather is cooler, the light is getting darker earlier. For all of you who are considering using me as your photographer for your family pictures in the fall, please schedule now! I have promised my husband to never overschedule again (because it takes me at least a month to catch up, and I sometimes lack in the area of wife and mother)! So being true to my promise, I am limiting the number of sessions that I am accepting this fall. I have looked at my calendar for September and October. I am declaring September booked, though I do make exceptions for newborn babies, but call me very soon if that is the case.

October has 3 family session spots available! I do have some other openings for wedding related sessions (bridals or engagements), but those of you who are interested in that must call soon so I can save you a place.

So the bottom line here is . . . if you are wanting to do family pictures with beautiful fall colors, please call or email soon before I am officially booked up. After October, the weather is alot cooler and sometimes the leaves have gone the way of all the earth.
