Photography means more to me than just taking a picture. When I was a young girl, I had so many stories in my head. I was constantly frustrated when I couldn’t unleash those stories on paper. Those stories and dreams soon slipped away until I discovered my camera and the many stories which I could tell through it. I realized that photography is a very powerful art. A picture can be worth more than a thousand words. I feel like I have been very blessed with the talent to be able to see and capture life in a unique way. I can now tell stories through my lens. The best thing is that the stories I tell through my camera are true love stories. Your love story.
Besides photography, what do I do? I love being a wife and mom! Love it! I love to sing, play the piano, hike, read good books, watch romantic chick-flicks, travel, go on scary roller coasters, and talk on the phone with friends. I love cuddling in a warm blanket just to watch the rain or snow from inside my house. My favorite activity is going on a long walk, holding hands with my wonderful husband, John, just to talk. It was his encouragement and support which led me to fulfill my dreams and become a photographer.
My two very most favorite sessions to do are with Newborns and with Weddings (yep the two sides of the spectrum). Because of this, during newborn sessions, my favorite part of the session is getting to actually really hold your baby afterwards when all is said and done. It's my favorite part and makes me realize even more how special newborns are.
As for my brides. . . I've run into some of you at restaurants, stores, your best friend's wedding that I'm photographing,etc. and it seriously makes my day! I get giddy like seeing a friend I feel like I really know well even though to you it may only be that we hung out on a few occasions to just take some pictures. I honestly wish there was a way after the wedding to go do a girls party or something. My least favorite part about weddings is when they end, I deliver the final pictures to you and we say goodbye.
