Happiness . . .

Today was just one of those days when I just needed some cheering up. I decided to start looking through the past 4 weddings that I have photographed during the last 2 months. I needed to see something with emotion and happiness. I absolutely love turning on my favorite music and looking at pictures which tell a story and express an emotion. I guess it's a form of escape for me. It gives me enough "me" time where I can then focus on the daily responsibilities that I have.

Upon my search for pictures with emotion, I came across these ones. There were so many more, but I wanted to keep it only one picture per wedding. These pictures were not only some of my favorites, artistically speaking, but also I believe captured the feeling of the day:

Happiness.

I hope you all have a wonderful day full of Happiness with the ones you love the most :)

Leavin' for California!

Tomorrow I'll be heading to California! I wish I could say that it'll be sunny, but because I'll be in Oakland, probably not at this time of year. But one can only hope . . .

I have been waiting for Susan & Ryan's wedding for a couple months now and I am so excited! I wish I could say that I'm all ready for Christmas and that I have nothing to worry about, but we would all know that it wasn't true. But nonetheless, I am still thrilled to be photographing a wedding of a beautiful couple out of state! And my dear husband is so kind to come with me (since I paid for his ticket). It'll be lots of fun!

Anyways, the picture above is of an awesome Groomal session I did a couple weeks ago for a couple who are also getting married this Saturday. I was so glad that even though I wasn't available to do their wedding, they still wanted a groomal session with the two of them. We got some amazing pictures from their session, and I can't wait to share it with you all sometime, but it'll have to wait till after Christmas. One picture should do for now. I always love to share the pictures which just seem to speak to me.

Have a great weekend everyone! Be safe and have a very Merry Christmas!

Michaelene's Bridals/Groomals

So do you remember that one day in November where it was a blizzard outside? There was only one of those days, do you remember? Well that was the day Michaelene decided to do her bridals! Don't get me wrong, it was a beautiful Winter Wonderland just like it is outside now, but . . . . freezing!!! Luckily I prepared semi-well for the weather, but my dear friend Michaelene, just didn't. She knew that I'd be dragging them out in the snow, but we didn't think too hard about the shoes she wore. . . . flip flops? ;)
Well she toughed it out and we still got some great shots, and I don't think she got sick afterwards even though she was frozen.
My friend, Michaelene is so dear to me. I sure love her and had fun capturing the beautiful bride that she is! Just in case you haven't read my previous post yet on their Engagements, she is now happily married as of yesterday! She just radiated yesterday! Those blog pictures (along with 2 November weddings) will probably be coming in January as the rest of this month is sooo busy! But I just had to share her beautiful winter bridals/groomals (Thanks Robert for being patient with both Michalene and I, who are both photographers, during 2 crazy winter days!)

I thought this was a funny moment picture of the chaos during the 10 minutes of blizzard that we had doing pictures! Thanks so much Kathy & Monet, you two were so brave to come with us!

Oh and then it stopped snowing . . . . phew!

Yep, just had to show you her shoes/flip flops . . . and yes we both learned a lot from this mistake in the snow, and Michaelene was super warm for her wedding day! Cute, sassy, snow boots!

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this one! Yeah I liked it ;)

We got a little too much sun here, but I really liked this edit with it

Gotta love Fall and Winter all in the same picture!

Well as before, some of my really favorite pictures from this session are on my new wedding website! You have to check that out to find more! There really is something magical about winter bridal pictures! I was happy with the way they turned out!

Thanks for stopping in! Let me know what you think. Merry Christmas!

Michaelene & Robert's Engagements

Ok, so it's about time that I finally post these - 2 months later! This is my dear friend, Michaelene who just got married yesterday! Wow that was a whole story within itself! But yes, they are now happily married, so I've decided to finally post the pictures that I finished a while back for them.
As I am looking out my window to our now Winter Wonderland, I am missing this beautiful fall weather, but also love beautiful snow before Christmas. Anyways, it was a beautiful day! The very first picture above where they are laughing, we printed up to be an 11x14 at the reception! I LOVED it!!! Just had to share!

And some "Date" pictures! A new idea I wanted to try out, and who better to try it out on than my friends who are always up for some fun around me?

Well some of my absolute favs from this session are on my new wedding website, so you'll have to check there in the Engagement section to see some more fun ones of these two!

Thanks for stopping by! Merry Christmas!

Josh - 2009 Senior Full post

Hi Everyone! So I have been holding back these pictures until I got more caught up on editing with all the wedding stuff hitting me this season (which I'll be blogging all those projects sometime soon). This was my very first Senior session which was with my nephew. He totally rocked this sesssion! It was a freezing day, but we were all brave and so we got some cool stuff. Josh's two big things in his Senior life: his Bug and his Cello. I had sooo much fun getting creative with those ones! His bug really is so cool and he's so proud of it. I love it when Senior's bring the things they love the most. He also really likes Yo Yo Ma, which is an amazing celloist, or so I've heard. We did our own version of some unique cello pictures. More on the classy but also "cool" side. I really like the way that the pictures turned out. Here are some of my favs, enjoy!

Gotta thank Mom for getting him to laugh in this one.

The greatest part about this session, was that not only did I get to make awesome pictures, Josh actually played music on his cello! He is really an amazing celloist. Be jealous, cuz I heard some great stuff!

During the picture below, he was playing this really cool part in a song where his hands were doing some different fun stuff!

Now of course we did some of just him by himself.

Now we'll end with my fav:

Seniors of 2009!!! If you are interested in a fun session like this which is specific to you, call or email me now to book your session next year! It would be a lot of fun . . . :)
Thanks for stopping in everyone! Have a great day!
