Katty & David - Bridals

Yesterday afternoon was so fun with Katty and David! They are such a cute couple, and super fun people to be around! It was a little bit cold yesterday with a really bright sun (which is not my favorite for pictures), but they were brave and hopefully had a some fun!
I keep editing their pictures! My husband says that I'm obsessed with this whole photography thing! I do LOVE what I do!
I realized while doing these pictures yesterday, that I really need to stay flexible and in shape just for doing pictures because I get my body in the weirdest positions while trying to get the "perfect" picture! This morning I woke up totally sore and with bruises on my legs from quickly kneeling down! From taking pictures!!! Well you all know now that I'm willing to do everything possible to get the perfect picture. Don't be surprised during your session to see me in odd positions. :)
They truly are a stunning couple and hopefully will love their pictures!!!

Katty is so gorgeous!

I love this expression on her face while looking at David

This is one of my favorites! I love the feet sneaking out!

Sparkle! Sparkle!
Dancing together . . . Ahh gotta love that fun smile!

This was one of those pictures where I was stradling something to get the shot, but it was worth it!
It's springtime!!!

One thing I love about March is being able to see the white mountains up against that striking blue sky!

Thanks so much Katty and David! You both are stunning!

Wedding Details

Planning a wedding is no easy thing. At first we think: bride & groom, dress, and rings. Simple as that. But if you are doing the typical weddings of today, there is much more to planning the wedding. So we go down the list of things we need: flowers, cake, reception location . . . oh don't forget wedding invitations!! Oh and ALL of those addresses to collect! Don't forget anyone or else years down the road when you run into them while grocery shopping with your three kids, they'll feel really bad that you didn't think of them. So now go look through all of your old yearbooks, even your parents' old yearbooks. We can't leave anyone out.

So now after you finally ran to the post office right at 5:30pm to get the invitations out on time, it's time to think about what else to plan.

Ok, so the reception? What theme to have? . . . elegant, but fun. . . my sister had a fun Hawaiian Luau. This worked because she got married in August when the weather was warm. Mine was a winter wonderland theme indoors because of the cold December air. Themes work best if coordinated with the weather.

Bridesmaids and Groomsmen need nice coordinating outfits. To buy or to make? So many decisions.
Then there are things you just don't think about like table centerpieces, trim, tablecloths, music, lighting, the food . . . oh that's a whole different category if you are like some people who provide a wide variation for dinner. Now if you are the bride or groom, don't plan on eating the food yourselves. Yes, you'll be the ones to test taste everything and choose exactly what YOU like, but believe me, you'll be keeping busy the entire time.

Well after planning everything, you do have to remember one important thing . . . photography!
You have put hours and hours into planning this special day, planned every single detail. Now it's time to let someone else capture the beauty of it all. Sit back, relax, enjoy the whole experience, and let me capture the fruits of all your hard work, and portray it in a way which is priceless.

The details ARE important! Those special glances exchanged between the bride and groom, the dress which you spent all day searching for, the colors of the reception, everything down to the very last candlestick. My photography captures the moments that can only be lived once!

Caleb & the Teacup!

We had lots of fun today!!! I just bought some new fun props, and so I had to try them out on Caleb. He had a blast for about 15 minutes and then cried, "Okay mom, that's enough now!"
We both love the spring! We have been enjoying long walks, especially after this long cold winter. Caleb is growing too big too fast, so I have to catch every moment of it!

Erica (& Jenessa)

So I had to add this last one because after looking at how GORGEOUS these girls are, it's nice to see a fun moment which truly shines their fun personality!
Erica really knew how to react to the camera which made my job easy because it would be hard work to take a "bad" picture of her :)
Jenessa and Erica have such a sweet friendship with one another, and it was so fun to capture a piece of that on camera.
It was so fun to hang out with these girls and take pictures of them! I know that they'll love their pictures!

NEW WEBSITE!!!

Hey Everyone,

I have finally completed (for the most part) my new and improved website! It has my new logo, contact information, pricing, galleries, etc. It's awesome!
There are minor changes which might still be made within the next week or so, but for a while this is what it's going to be. Please refer friends and family to my site so that they can see the quality of work that I do.
Right now I am also looking for more newborn sessions, so if you know anyone expecting sometime soon, please refer them to me. Newborn pictures are priceless and are best if captured within the first three weeks to capture that "brand-new" look.
I am still trying to work up my wedding portfolio as well, so keep checking back for updated beautiful wedding pictures.

I hope you all enjoy the site! Check it out at:

Have a great day!!!!
