Wedding Details

Planning a wedding is no easy thing. At first we think: bride & groom, dress, and rings. Simple as that. But if you are doing the typical weddings of today, there is much more to planning the wedding. So we go down the list of things we need: flowers, cake, reception location . . . oh don't forget wedding invitations!! Oh and ALL of those addresses to collect! Don't forget anyone or else years down the road when you run into them while grocery shopping with your three kids, they'll feel really bad that you didn't think of them. So now go look through all of your old yearbooks, even your parents' old yearbooks. We can't leave anyone out.

So now after you finally ran to the post office right at 5:30pm to get the invitations out on time, it's time to think about what else to plan.

Ok, so the reception? What theme to have? . . . elegant, but fun. . . my sister had a fun Hawaiian Luau. This worked because she got married in August when the weather was warm. Mine was a winter wonderland theme indoors because of the cold December air. Themes work best if coordinated with the weather.

Bridesmaids and Groomsmen need nice coordinating outfits. To buy or to make? So many decisions.
Then there are things you just don't think about like table centerpieces, trim, tablecloths, music, lighting, the food . . . oh that's a whole different category if you are like some people who provide a wide variation for dinner. Now if you are the bride or groom, don't plan on eating the food yourselves. Yes, you'll be the ones to test taste everything and choose exactly what YOU like, but believe me, you'll be keeping busy the entire time.

Well after planning everything, you do have to remember one important thing . . . photography!
You have put hours and hours into planning this special day, planned every single detail. Now it's time to let someone else capture the beauty of it all. Sit back, relax, enjoy the whole experience, and let me capture the fruits of all your hard work, and portray it in a way which is priceless.

The details ARE important! Those special glances exchanged between the bride and groom, the dress which you spent all day searching for, the colors of the reception, everything down to the very last candlestick. My photography captures the moments that can only be lived once!
