Yep I'm a little biased . . .

I think this kid is the cutest EVER!
But what can I say? I'm a Mom! It's part of the job ;)

But seriously, how could not look at that sweet face and not want to squeeze those precious cheeks?

One of these days I'll actually get around to doing another session with my little guy. For now I just cling to the few seconds he'll hold still for me while I have my camera out. It just so happens that he was tired and he's actually sitting in my husband's lap --- that's the only way he didn't escape! Of course he still refuses to look at that big black camera . . . but you all should know me by now . . . most of the time I prefer that! It seems to truly capture the person.

I am so wishing to enlarge this one and put it on a yummy canvas print . . . find more space on my wall . . .

Have a great day everyone!

Yep, another fun engagement session coming your way . . . :)

Adam + Stephanie = Married!!!

I was so thrilled to photograph this wedding . . . last minute they had decided to move their wedding date up, and their photographer was not going to be in town on that date. It so happened that I sort of knew Stephanie. She was a former roommate of my assistant/stylist/best-friend, Brittany, and then she was also the older sister of Jenny's friends. A fun circle we realized later.
The day was beautiful (and hot), and I really felt the love and joy that everyone felt for these two.
A special thanks to John my second shooter and my stylist, Brittany, who did Stephanie's hair and make-up. She always does a fantastic job!

Well here we go for more pictures:

I loved how happy and content these two were to be married and together!

One of my favs. Just a tad different . . .

And then John's capture:

Oohh lala!

It was an awesome experience to be on Temple Square. Stephanie was a former sister missionary who served here on Temple Square for 18 months. I bet it was neat for her to be here and married. I caught this moment after I finished scouting out the next location I wanted to get, and found Stephanie talking and making friends with the sister missionaries.

Ok, so next we were just doing some twirling around pictures. And sometimes the couples can go a tiny bit too fast where they lose their balance. Poor Adam did . . . and I have John to thank for the next shot:

Here is John's after picture

And here's mine:

John and I had a new experience with camera cards. I won't go into detail because John already did on his blog. You can read it here, but we almost lost Johnny's pictures due to some weird 16GB card issue that even the camera people at the store were not aware of. I believe it was a miracle that John was able to retrieve them when no one else could. I share this mostly for other photographers sake, since we think it's a fairly new problem that sometimes happens (not all the time, but sometimes, and they're not sure why). I was just grateful that I didn't trust new cards that I'd never yet used before on a wedding, and so my pictures were just fine, but I really wanted Johnny's pictures. He is still in the practicing stage, but every time he does a session with me, there's some picture (or pictures) that just take my breath away, and I just knew there'd be some from this wedding.
And I was right . . . check some of these out. I've decided that I need my Johnny to capture these pictures by my side. They are just so moving and filled with emotion. The next three of some of my favs by Johnny. Also check out Johnny's blog (link on the top right) for another beautiful moment from this wedding.

Alright well we'll end with a couple more of my favorites:

Thanks for stopping by! Let me know what you think!

Tickle Monster :) --- Personal

Yep, this month has been crazy busy. I didn't realize that 2 family reunions would take so much out of me, and I didn't realize that I'd have so much fun that I didn't want to come back to reality. But yes I'm back to catch up with a lot of sessions. There are 2 fun weddings to blog soon, along with a bridal session, engagement session, and any other session that I realize got slipped through the cracks. Check back later this week for lots of great stuff!

Since I am still basking in the glow of spending so much time with family lately, I wanted to share a picture that I finally got of my family that I've been imagining for over a year now. I took one similar, and I wanted one of my family sooo badly. After taking some pictures of my husband's family. I decided to hand my camera over and give it a try. Thanks Teresa, my sis-in-law, for capturing this moment!

I seriously am the ultimate Tickle Monster Mom!!! . . . . . All the time!!! :)

I seriously prefer these kinds of pictures over traditional ones any day!!! . . . . but that's just me!

This picture just really captures my family! Any spare minute I have with my baby, I am chasing him around the house, wiggling my fingers, capturing him squeeling in delight, and tickling him until he can't stand it anymore! Nothing could give me any more pleasure than hearing those giggles and seeing that ear to ear grin. I've taken mental pictures of that moment many times. Those are some of my happiest times as a mom.

Thanks for letting me share! And thanks for being patient with me as I was taking time off to create some of my own memories with my family. I hope each of you are having a memorable summer and showing lots of love to those who are special in your life.

Robert & Emily's Engagements

It all began in High School . . . while hanging out with friends at a carnival. Emily saw the new guy that she'd never met, but wasn't sure how to take his sense of humor. But once she realized that he was in her drama class, and that he was a cool kid, she started to have the eye for him. However, she thought he liked a different girl, and so she stayed out of the way. When in fact, Robert had his eye on her, Emily.
What brought them finally together happened slowly, but it was wonderful. Their love for one another wasn't just some high school fling, but lasted throughout the years.
Robert's sense of humor and Emily's bubbly personality was the perfect combination for a happy fun romance. And that led them to be engaged -- to each other.
I had so much fun photographing their engagements . . .it was very adventurous! I don't think I've had so many weather conditions in one session before: shade, bright sunny day, cloudy, really really black clouds, and then rain!!! All in just over an hour! Crazy, yet fun because these two were totally up for any of my ideas. Gotta love those kinds of couples! Any ways, enjoy their pictures!

Look really close to see who's watching them in this next picture that John caught:

"And the rain came tumbling down!!"

Here's the action fun

Thanks so much for being a total blast of fun!!! Also stay tuned for a sneak peek of their awesome groomals that we did tonight . . . totally awesome!!!

Baby Hyrum

Wow I am quite behind on a couple of my posts. I'll just be posting a few pictures from the great sessions I've had lately.
This sweet newborn and his siblings are so cute, and I had so much fun getting to know their family. Here are a few of my favs:

We got some gorgeous pictures of this sweet girl. But here's one of my favs:

I like this next one probably because he reminded me of my cute little guy. Also my son has finally gotten attached to his own special blankie. It's such a cute thing, especially to see my son get excited to find his blankie :)
Here's happy little Hyrum:

Muscles!!

And one of my last favs:
