Jason and Lindsey's Bridals Part 1

This was by far my shortest photo session: approximately 30 minutes. There was a reason why, but you'll have to wait till the end to get the story. It's amazing how many different pictures I can get that quickly though.
Lindsey and Jason are so cute together! I love this position, but I have to admit that I got the positioning idea from another fellow photographer. It's just kind of unique and fun!
We had to try the hammock, so fun!
I was sneaking up on them

Beautiful Lindsey!

Ok, so this is where we got daring and brave. Lindsey loves horseback riding, and so we went up to her aunt's ranch in Payson to ride on their horses. This horse's name is Flame. He looked so perfect next the bouquet.

Here's where things go wrong. So whether it was me on a really tall ladder next to this young horse, or the 7 people around Flame, or the really strong wind, or that this horse was away from the place that he is usually the most familiar . . . well this was my last official picture right before it happened . . . If you look closely, you can guess what happened next. And no, I didn't get the action shot.

Yes here is where I should have inserted a very dramatic action shot of Lindsey gracefully being bucked off this horse, but to be honest I was so concerned with whether she was going to be okay or not, that I didn't click the picture. And not to mention I was on a really tall ladder right next to this frazzled horse, and was a little frightened that he would run into me next.
The horse had been acting jittery and maybe that should have been our sign to use a different horse, but he just suddenly went completely on his hind legs, bucking Lindsey off. But it wasn't just to the ground that she fell. We were right next to a 2 or 3 foot drop into a little creek, so she completely slid all the way down to the bottom. Well when the horse came back down off his hind legs, he stepped right on Jason's foot.
Yeah. . . . that was the end of our bridal session. Her hair was wet from the creek, the dress was muddy, luckily not ripped, and they were both hurting from their horse injuries. Luckily Lindsey did not have any major scrapes. She will probably be really sore tomorrow, but she was so brave! I probably would have cried and never dared get on a horse again, but she didn't cry at all and forgave the horse pretty quickly. She said she has been bucked off a horse before, but I'm guessing it wasn't in a wedding dress or when she was riding bareback!
And she's still wanting to do the part 2 session with horses as well (probably not on the horses though).
Jason helping dry and clean her off.
Well as soon as the weather starts cooperating again, and the dress is dry-cleaned, and they are wanting to brave the horse thing again, we'll be back for part 2! Since we all had several hours to spare, we went and scoped out the places we'll go next time, and I'm really excited! They are such a fun couple who are really up for anything! I also appreciated all the help that I got from Lindsey's mom, aunt, uncle, and cousins.
Till next time soon . . . !

Oh my gosh!
How awful!
They're going to love telling this story when they're married, though!
