Jessica's Bridals

Jessica was so fun to be around! I'm glad she wanted me to do her bridals, even though I was not available to do her wedding day. Her bridal session was a little more unique because she wanted to bring her 3 flower girls along! 3 flower girls all under the age of 3 (I think), made for some interesting dynamics. Luckily, I got a couple really cute ones of all of them walking with Jessica. Thanks to Jessica's 2 friends who came along to help out with these little sweeties!

Jessica's little girl was full of smiles for me!

We have some other fun ones in this location which I'm saving for my website (coming soon!)

Thanks for being so fun Jessica! I hope your wedding is wonderful!

Family M.'s First Sneak Peek . . .

This is my cute cousin's family! They were so fun to hang out with yesterday. I still have not had time to edit all their sneak peeks, but I wanted to show Emily the traditional one, because this picture really is a miracle. James wouldn't give me anything except frowns. But at the right moment we got everyone (including their darling daughter) to look great! Yeah! I was proud of this moment! More to come soon . . . !

Baby Dylan

Yesterday evening I spent a wonderful time at the hospital with this little guy and his parents. He wasn't quite 2 days old yet when we took these pictures. His parents wanted some tender pictures with him before they placed him for adoption. Their love for him really radiates. This is such an unselfish thing for them to do. I bet it's going to be hard to not be with him, but I'm so glad I was able to capture the feeling and love that they have for their sweet son!

Brand new baby feet!

It was amazing how alert and attentive he was this young!

Thank you so much for allowing me to capture these tender moments! I hope these pictures will bring you comfort.

Family H.

I have been friends with this family for several years now. We were all in the play, "Savior of the World" at the LDS Conference Center. Even though I can't do that right now in my life, I am so grateful to have kept the friendships I have made through that experience! Thanks for being my friends still Christie & Merrill! It was fun hanging out with your cute little family!

It's so fun for me to capture the "Mommy-Child" relationship! I think I appreciate it more than I ever have now because of my little guy. It is such a precious, beautiful thing being a mom! And lots of fun!

The Boys!

And I also love to capture the wonderful relationship between husband and wife too!

I LOVE the picture below!

It was so fun being with you all!

Nathan & Lisa's Engagements!

I'm finally back to blogging! It seriously has taken me so long to finally get my life in order. It still isn't in complete order, but I'll somehow manage it. Last week was like a photo marathon! This weeks gonna be the same! So please be patient everyone who is waiting for your preview of your pictures . . . I'll do my best over the next couple days to catch up!
This is my brother-in-law and future sister-in-law! It was lots of fun to hang out with them!
Nathan is such a goof! Lisa will never be bored during their marriage! Here's his goofy face:

Nathan loves to sing on his guitar! I thought it'd be fun to capture that since I'm sure he sings and plays to Lisa all the time!

I brought my husband along to assist me, and he came up with this brilliant idea: (I think my creativity is starting to rub off on him ;)

Nathan is also a huge motorcycle fan! Lisa surprised him for his birthday this past week, by borrowing my husband's bike and taking him on a romantic motorcycle ride up the canyon. After this photo session, I even got to ride back with my husband! It's been over a year since my Johnny has taken me on a ride! I was grateful for an excuse to ride it down with him!

Congratulations you two! We are so excited to have Lisa apart of the family! Stay tuned for Lisa's bridals in a couple weeks!

Out of Town

I will be out of town this week until late Saturday evening. I might have internet access, but it will probably be limited. I will be returning emails and phone calls when I get back. I hope all is well with you and your family!

Jayden's Story

Please read Jayden's story before watching this video, and then remember to turn your volume up!
P.S. The pictures on this video may appear blurry which is because of the video size required to get the video downloaded quick enough for you to view it without waiting forever! Hopefully you can still see them enough to appreciate the beautiful pictures!

Jayden's mother has given me permission to share his miraculous story.

When Jayden's mom was first pregnant, of course they expected a perfect, healthy baby. When she was about 5 months along, doctors found fluid around his intestines and realized that something might be wrong. Jayden came 6 weeks early, after his mom had been on bed rest for about a week. When he was born, they realized that his intestines were formed on the outside of his body. This condition is called Gastroschiasis, which is the inflammation of the bowels. Typically, babies have 250cm length of bowels, but Jayden had about 30cm. So another name for this is Short Bowel Syndrome. Because of the severity of this condition, Jayden spent the first 5 months of his life in the hospital. He has had multiple surgeries on his bowels. Also, in his 17 months, he has been back to the hospital 22 times.
At the beginning, the doctors told his mom that he would not live to be a year old. But thankfully, he has been doing better than they thought he would be. He is fed his formula through a tube. 16 hours of each day, Jayden has to wear a pack which has a tube that goes directly to his heart to give him all the necessarily amino acids and nutrients that he would normally get through food. Jayden's mom says that this tube is the thing keeping him alive.
When I met Jayden, I recognized right away how happy he is! He has the sweetest smile and personality which would melt anyone's heart. Even though he has lots of health problems, his parents seem to treat him like any normal kid as much as possible. "One thing that's hard for me to do, is to keep him away from the water," said Jayden's mom. "He just loves water!" But because of his tubes, she can only give him sponge baths. He can't go swimming or take normal baths like he would want to, or else he could get really sick if the bacteria goes past his tubes. Because his immune system is so weak, any sickness could mean a couple weeks of hospitalization.
There is a possible transplant for the bowels, but it is very risky, and his parents have decided that they are going to wait. Jayden's mom said, "When we first realized how serious Jayden's situation was, it was really hard on me. I seemed to cry all the time. It's so hard to not think about the 'what if?'s. I have just realized that I have to try and stay positive."
As I observed them, I noticed how attentive Jayden's parents are to him. He is their world. I can see that the love that they have for him is so strong. I really look up to them for their faith and perseverance through this past year and a half. Jayden radiates love to everyone. He is such a special boy and a big blessing in the lives of his parents. His chance to live a full life is unknown, but his parents seem to be cherishing each day. I feel very blessed that I was able to meet sweet Jayden, and capture the beautiful spirit which surrounds this special boy.
I hope you enjoy watching this video of sweet Jayden.
