Sam & Reagan Engagements

These two were so much fun! It was so great because Reagan was the one to pick the locations that we went to so that it was exactly what she wanted. I had so much fun hanging out with these two!

They had so many cute romantic kissing pictures: I just had to share a few.

We stumbled across this way cool blue house!! And lucky enough, Reagan had brought some fun red pants and red shoes! It worked just perfectly! Here's just a few of my favs from the blue house:

Lots of Teasers :)

Yep, that's pretty much the point that I'm at this week: Teasers. Except for one Engagement session which I'll probably get around to posting in a few hours. At least that's my goal. I have all these fun projects to work at! I'm REALLY trying to keep up with everything, and as a result just have to post teasers at the moment. But, exciting news for my clients: I now have an online proofing site!!!! What does this mean? You get to pick out your favorites for me to edit, and it saves me time having to guess which ones will be your favorites! This way you'll also be able to see how the pictures turned out a lot sooner than usual. Any ways, more to come about that soon, but kind of exciting for me and my clients hopefully. Just testing the waters with it now.

Well more about these fabulous people that I took pictures of: the first picture just spoke to me with it's tenderness! It was a way fun couple on Saturday, and I'm so excited to be working with them more!
Next picture: Big family! The Dad is a state representative and wanted some pictures of him and his family in front of the Capitol Building. I liked how this one turned out.

Soooo funny! These kids just did this on their own when Mom & new Step-Dad kissed during the ceremony! I seriously was just cracking up!!!

Cute 7 week old baby! I couldn't believe he was so aware of me and seriously followed me with his eyes the whole time! So sweet!

Sisters . . .

Well I figured that it's time I shared at least some of these. My cute sister had her little girl recently. We did a mini-maternity session one day, and here's one of my favorite shots (well of the funny shots!). As my sister says, "It's like the baby is whispering a secret to her big sister!" The picture sure makes me laugh! Well here the two new sisters are together, and as sweet as can be! More to come soon . . .

2 For Tonight . . .

Wow, well this weekend I got hit with the start of a very busy season ahead of me! I think I've been taking things at a nice slower pace recently, but now will need to speeeeeed up! I have some great brides and grooms lined up to work with, and I'm very excited. I hope I can keep up with this blog thing. Lately, I find it much easier to just use the time to finish the editing and return to my customers vs. using the couple hours to blog the pictures. But I'll try to get semi-caught up, or else I'll just need to be more choosy about the pictures I use as sneak peeks (that's soooo hard for me! How do you use 1 picture to define an entire evening of fun photography? I don't know . . .)
Well enjoy these two sneak peeks tonight. I love the different emotions I feel from looking at them.

It's Raining Adorable Babies!

Over the past week, I've had the awesome opportunity to photograph 2 adorable newborns! The first baby just happens to be my brand new nephew who I just photographed this morning. He was exactly one week old (the perfect age!). He was so sleepy and perfect. Welcome Baby Adam.

This next beautiful baby came to me at 2 1/2 weeks. We learned by the second photo session, that she loves sleeping in the morning best (don't we all?). Welcome, Sweet Baby Maddison.


This time of year is one of those busy times for newborns! During those first 2 weeks, it is such a magical time to capture your baby. If you or someone you know is having a baby soon, I would love to photograph your sweet baby.

Sneak Peek - Love: Jenny & Brandon

This is my dear friend, Jenny who is finally engaged to an awesome guy! I am so excited for her and had a blast doing their engagements about a week ago. This is like the girlfriend I had in highschool, where we both would dress up in our prom dresses just for fun, take pictures, and talk and giggle about our future husbands, wondering where they were, what they'd be like, when we'd meet them, etc. It was so fun and we have awesome memories of it! Well I found my prince charming just over 2 years ago, and finally Jenny has found her prince! And Brandon couldn't be more perfect for her!

This picture just stood out to me because of how peaceful, happy, and in love they both look. I am just so excited for Jenny and Brandon and can't wait to photograph their spring wedding in a few months.

Ryan & Susan's Oakland, CA Wedding!

Well back in December, I had the awesome opportunity to go to Oakland, CA to photograph Susan & Ryan's wedding! I escaped the snow and cold for a couple days! Oakland was nice and sunny for the first two days (and for the wedding), and then rained on the day we left. It was nice to be in just jacket weather. I also was soooo grateful that I decided to fly my husband out to assist me because of some sun flare (not one cloud in the sky!). He was a huge help! So thanks hun!

Well onto the pictures . . . I think they have a good variety of happy/fun pictures and sappy romantic pictures ;)

Onto the fun/romantic pictures of just the bride and groom.

This is my personal fav for their traditional stuff.

I was so happy that we scoped out the area the day before, because we discovered a cool place overlooking the temple.

Ok, so the picture below has a funny story. I wanted Ryan to jump over Susan, but we talked first about how the ground wasn't really flat and how he needed to be careful to make the jump (so as not to squish Susan), but also to land safely. Susan and my husband seemed hesitant, but I proceeded because it seemed Ryan was excited and willing to make the jump. As he jumped over her, Susan said, "I'm gonna die!" . . . with a smile :)

He did land the jump safely and we only had to do it once, but I still look at that picture and chuckle. I think it turned out cool!

Picture below: One of my very favorites!!!! Also the one that was their one picture sneak peek (picture at end of that post). Can't decide which I like better. Not even sure what it is about this picture: the yummy light coming through, Susan's peaceful happy look, or Ryan looking at her with that look that is so tender and sweet. Yep this one is going on the website someday.

The reception was so easy going. It was decorated nicely at Ryan's parents' house in Merced, and people just came and mingled and ate great food! There wasn't any cake cutting or dancing, but it was nice and relaxing. Man, if my reception had been that easy-going, I would not have been so dang tired by the end of it!

It was fun this night because we even had enough time to do some more fun pictures of just Susan and Ryan hanging out at the Reception!

I convinced some of their friends to come outside (it was quite cold that night), and paint with light! It was so fun! I have seen other photogs do this kind of thing, so I just started experimenting with it this night, so I stayed simple, but it sure is a fun way to pass the time and create something cool!

I had such a blast photographing this wedding! I was so honored that they picked me to come all the way out there to capture their special day! I wish them the best of luck in their marriage and living in California!
