Some Mood

Elise & Scott :)

Elise and Scott went to the same high school in Texas. However, they never took much notice of each other. Scott was one of her older brother's friends, and she thought of him as too "cool" to take much notice of her at the time. Besides, the two of them were already busy dating other people at the time.
Well fast forward several years after the high-school years . . . Now they are both at college in Utah, and by chance ran into each other. Elise's eyes were a little more open to this handsome friend of her brother's. But she was determined to be the matchmaker and set him up with her friend. She told her, "He's so nice and fun!" Well Scott knew that Elise would be able to help him as he dated her friend and came to her for advice. Elise was trying to help Scott become a great boyfriend for her friend. However, she didn't realize that slowly he was falling for her, and she for him.
Now here they are. Sometimes life brings you to be with a person that you never anticipated. But it's wonderful. It's love.

Read the shoes: "Not Rated." I thought it ironic for this picture!

Isn't she just gorgeous?!!

These were just a few funny ones!

Wow their colors just worked perfect for this fun building, huh?

There really were way too many favorites of mine from this session! Maybe I'll get my engagement section on my wedding site updated one of these days . . . then I can include more of this gorgeous couple!
These two are getting married in Texas in May. I wish them tons of happiness! Thanks for letting me capture your engagements and the love between you two!

Reagan's Bridals

Wow! Talk about gorgeous bride! I was so excited to do these pictures for Reagan! She is just model gorgeous, and it was way fun hanging out with her when we did these! She wanted a fruit market/Italian feel to her pictures since she did a Study Abroad over in Italy. Of course we're in Utah. Soooo not Italian, especially in March. But luckily the location worked out pretty well, and her mom brought some baskets of fruits and veggies at the last minute which gave it the final "fruit-market" feel! I loved it! Well here are a few of my favs:

Oh yeah . . . and of course this bus wasn't exactly the look we were going for, but when we saw it, both Reagan and I just thought it'd be lots of fun!

Talk about beautiful smile!

I liked this next one a lot because I feel like I can just feel the wind blowing by just looking at the picture!

Simply Beautiful!

We got a bunch of rockin' awesome close-ups of Reagan! You can tell she feels really comfortable in front of a camera. So photogenic!

Thanks so much Reagan for letting me take your Bridals! Hope you love them, and I wish you luck in your upcoming marriage in April!

Girls: Sugar & Spice

This first picture is of one of the best little sleepers and most flexible newborns I've had so far! We were excited though to get this perfect little smile of hers with those adorable dimples! At one week old (the perfect age for newborn pictures), we got some really fun images that I'm excited to share later!

The next two little girls were fun to work with too. This next little sweety is a cute 2 month old. I love her expression in this picture. So innocent . . . :)

Haha! This next one was just too cute of a candid, not to post! So often I post all the cute, happy pictures, but sometimes it's fun to see some of the candids that come along with trying to get a 2 year old to cooperate and get her picture taken! My little guy sometimes gives really funny/sad pouty faces too, and I always regretted never catching it on camera, it's just always so unexpected! Well we caught this cutie's pouty face just in time before Daddy came to cheer her up!

Honestly, this little cute 2 year old was sooo well behaved, we had lots of time playing together, and we got so many cute ones of her and I'm excited to share later. We even became friends! She's also a very cute big sister now!

Shandi & Greg's Engagements!

"Once upon a time, Shandi and Greg went to the same high school. Shandi's contagious, beautiful smile caught Greg's eye, and he knew she was something incredibly special. Shandi loved Greg's gentle kindness and thoughtfulness. They quickly became high-school sweethearts. Even after graduation, their feelings for one another remained."
And now here they are, after all this time, engaged to be married this May! I absolutely loved working with them! They were so fun to be around and were totally up for anything! I'm so excited to be photographing their wedding at the Manti Temple in about a month!

Way cool!

I thought this next one was pretty fun!

(and yes that was my first attempt to tell my version of their story with pictures and words! Hope it wasn't too cheesy and not too far from the truth! :)

Vinylisms - A perfect Mother's Day gift!

Last summer sometime, I did my cousin's family pictures, and I was so excited to see what she finally did with some of them! My cousin, Emily, is a super talented person at making vinylisms which are the wall quotes that you can put on your wall to decorate, or you can put them on mirrors, windows, doors, cars, etc. She has designed some way neat stuff! I finally got one of the vinylisms on my wall to go along with my pictures and I love it!
Well this picture frame she bought at Roberts (and just in case you can't tell . . . the middle part is a mirror).

I thought that this would make the PERFECT Mother's Day gift! Just thought I'd share, since that's coming around the corner here.
Great job Emily! And if you want to see more of her stuff, head on over to
vinylisms.com! (on a side note . . . this design is very new and is not yet on the website, but you can specifically request it of her and she'd be happy to make you one!)

Families and Babies

Ok, so I'm catching up here. Just posting several for each of the families I've done in the past month or so. This first family I know through their oldest daughter who I went to high school with. It's been fun to see their family grow. Also we did these pictures mainly for their dad's new campaign. He's in the State Legislature and wanted pictures of his family as well as himself at the Capitol.
Here are a few of my favs

Also we did a very mini-session for one of their daughters who is graduating from high school this year.

Ok, so this next one is of my awesome friend who I went to high school with and also was on the basketball team with! She's putting in her mission papers soon! Yeah Amber!

Just a few of the portraits of the other kids. Isn't she just gorgeous!!!

Sister Attack!

Boys vs. Girls

Another cute family and a 7 week old baby. I posted one of my very favs of Baby Brad on my sneak peeks just a couple posts ago.

Gorgeous girl!

Loved this next one:

And this is another newborn who I did a while back now (back in February I believe). Baby Maddison and her parents are just beautiful!

Hope you all enjoyed seeing a few more than just sneek peeks of what I've been working on lately. Now we just have a BUNCH of Engagements coming up!!!
